Not only is that my favorite leave no trace principle, but its a great way to avoid creating more waste. I'm packing up right now to head to the library, where I will be camped out until our exam tomorrow. I'm planning ahead that I will want coffee, and i'm preparing by bringing my mug. And i'm procrastinating by writing this post. Good luck to all, and to all a good night.
P.S. this cup is not actually mine, but I like how it has a slot for gluten free snacks. that way you don't have to dirty up another dish!
Drewsie,
ReplyDeleteYour posts are engaging and nicely track your ups and downs through the project so far. It's interesting that you decided to go to REI -- was that just to test yourself and see if you could go and not buy anything? Since remembering and sticking with your plan seem like challenges, I'd encourage you to use the blog (and maybe conversations with friends?) to think through these issues in a bit more depth. How DO people establish new habits? What's the hardest part? Does it ever get easier? Can it be worth it in the end? As you continue to work on the project and write about it, I'd also like to see you thinking about how this all relates to some of the readings and ideas we've been discussing in class. Onward!
